Fight for the Holy Order of Man in Wild West Exodus

Wild West Exodus has just had a new render revealed of a warrior for the Holy Order of Man. Check out this church goer.
That guy's carrying more weaponry than most crusades put together!
I have to say that, while the model itself looks pretty well designed, there is nothing about it that really set it apart in my mind as a member of the Holy Order. When I first caught sight of it, I thought it was a new Lawman. To make a faction unique, character designs need to have an instantly recognisable silhouette, which I don't think this guy has.
What are your thoughts on this? What do you know of the Holy Order?
I have to say I like the model overall quite a bit, but I do agree that there’s no faction feel to him. Even something as simple as a bible on the belt or a cross on his gun would do the job.
I actually like that they didn’t go with a huge cross and went with something more subtle. It makes the paint job on what looks to be a beautiful miniature that much more important.
I can see that point, but to me it kinda hurts that there’s no uniqueness to the silhouette as Sam put it. I just feel there should be something that makes it stand out as part of a faction as soon as you look at the sculpt. It puts more focus on the paint job as you said, but it also means the only personality of the character is said paint job. If you don’t paint it like the Holy Order, then there’s nothing really tying it to the Order.
It is a hired hand and, truth be told, hired hands don’t stand out very much in WWX. The characters all have a very distinct look to them. But with the exception of the Enlightened it tends to be hard telling one type of hired hand from another (such as the Bandits and Raiders, or the Braves and Scalpers). Now much of this has to do with subtle differences that, once paint is applied, actually helps quite a bit. To use this sculpt as an example the style of the armored bits, the high-collar, and the lack of sleeves will… Read more »
One practical point, yes, I know it’s fantasy and you can do as you like, but if it were somewhat practical, then most in the deserts of Arizona would be wearing similar outfits as the terrain dictates. Living in Arizona at present, I am obliged to wear more to cover my skin during the scorching hot summer months. That’s why cowboys and outlaws really did wear pretty much the same things. Thus the need for a badge and perhaps different color choices.
