Fight The Battle For Iceland With Spartan’s Dystopian Two Player Set
March 25, 2016 by brennon
If you're looking to add some more ships to your Spartan Games Dystopian Wars range, or you just want to get started, then see what you think of The Battle For Iceland which is their new two player set.
This set gets you two different fleets for the Prussian Empire and the Covenant of Antarctica. This brings me back to my first time on Beasts of War during Dystopian Wars Week. Ah the memories.
"A Prussian empire strike force is heading for Iceland, its mission a simple one: at all costs discover what the Covenant of Antarctica is up to on the frozen wastelands of this small island.
This exciting boxed is the first to feature the new Dystopian Wars: Fleet Action fast play rules and the box contents include an array of CoA and Prussian naval models, scenery, rules, dice and tokens."
You can snap this up from April 27th when it will be released to the tabletop world.
Which side will you fight on?

Interesting…
Love the minis and bought the old two player set. However the rules left me cold. The idea of revised fast play rules may tempt me to have another try.
And those ships look ace 🙂
the models look great.
I have been on the fence for DW for years. If the price point isn’t too high, I might pick this one up. The setting and models have always appealed to me.
Oops, I still have the previous starter box lying around unassembled.
Spartan Games have this on pre-order for £40. That’s a great price for the amount of models, as I play covenant I’ll have to pick this one up.
Having a cheaper starter box to get people into the game is a great idea, they have just done the same for the halo fleet battles game as well.
Yup, they’re doing some cheaper starter sets which is a good idea as the £80 sets meant I really had to want the factions in the boxes which I generally didn’t.
I’ll be picking up one of the new Firestorm Armada (with fast play rules) at Salute.
Oh that’s perfect!
I really want to play DW, but the Americans and Japanese, featured in the Shadow Hunter starter set, are my least favorite factions.
This is really exciting to me.
Having quick play rules is always good. As for the models, I have some of them and the level of detail and design is magnificent.
