New Fiery Redemptionists Coming To Grimdark Necromunda
March 16, 2021 by brennon
The flame and fury of the Redemptionists is coming to the grimdark world of Necromunda soon from the folks at Games Workshop. Their preview for Monday included a look at one of these flame-obsessed individuals that will soon be joining the 28mm Sci-Fi skirmish wargame.

Part of House Cawdor, the Redemptionists are a little more zealous and pious when compared to their brethren. If they ask you who the best big boy in the galaxy is you better say "The Emperor". When these miniatures release, you'll be able to add them to existing Cawdor gangs or make up an entire warband of these flame-wreathed fanatics.
This gives you another heavy dose of theme and allows you to customise your Necromunda gang just that little bit more. I'm certainly all for that, especially given the varied and odd persons that frequent the Underhive.
Warhammer Preview Online: Faith & Damnation
We are meant to be getting more details on the Redemptionists and beyond as part of the next Warhammer Preview Online which goes live this Saturday.
Faith & Damnation // Warhammer Preview
Thankfully the preview is going to be done and dusted before the rugby comes on so I'll get a chance to watch both! From the list of games mentioned in the announcement for this preview, it looks like we're going to be getting new sneak peeks at Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer Age Of Sigmar, Necromunda and Warhammer Underworlds. I'm still betting (its a very safe bet) on a new warband of Ossiarch Bonereapers for Warhammer Underworlds!
Are you going to be tuning in?

I know red heads… and hot-headed… but he takes the cake 😉
Grimmer and darker than ever.
You know the saying. Don’t wear a burning hat to a gunfight.
Oh yeah these guys. I remember there having been comic book about these guys back in day.
when inferno was good and not an anthology of short stories with worse writing than the already low bar set by black library…
Looking a bit ridiculous with that burning headgear…
New hands-free torches now out.
Been waiting for redemptionists to come out for new necromunda, were my secondary gang of choice back in the day…
Will the new evisorator be an even more ridiculous chainsword than gabriel seth’s???? must have at least 1 flamer on it
Hmmm is this going to be a boxed “gang” plastic release or another offering from Forge World? It “looks” more like a HIPs release, as a resin build (and cast) with that cage over his head looks like it’s going to be a bit “tricksy” to build 🙁
Hard to say. The blurb on Warhammer Community says they’re an addition to Cawdor, which could be a second plastic box or FW resin.
Definitely a fiddly job with superglue though, yes.
Resin i would bet, they wouldn’t want to make it too cheap to buy my childhood back…
I would imagine that the brazier hat is separate as i would expect a cast would fail more often than not if it was one piece, im probably going to be proven totally wrong on saturday when they are plastic and integrated lol
Looking at the lack of undercuts on some of the clothing these may well be plastic.
If they are going to release a full gang box it’s probably going to be plastic, unless I’m mistaken FW never released a full gang only additions.
Well looking at it again there’s been no “news” items about any books (which usually accompany any box of plastic releases), so I guess it’s going to be a FW release (with the rules added for them later when the Cawdor book and “specialists” plastic box set comes out..as well as the impossible to obtain unless you are a scalper tactics cards 🙁 ).
GW are obviously fans of the Mighty Boosh :p
It’s great to see the Redemptionists coming back! These psychos have been part of classic Necromunda and the broader 40K world for so long that it would be a crime to just ignore them! Hopefully their set includes LOTS of flamer, melta, and incendiary options for proper heretic-immolation.
