Fenris Sculpt the Face of Horror Master H. P. Lovecraft

Fenris Games have been working on a large bust of H.P. Lovecraft and have shown off the first preview of their sculpt of this master of the macabre.
With a book of forbidden knowledge and surrounded by the grasping tentacles of his creations, this bust of the famous writer stands at approximately 110mm tall.
Fenris have done a pretty good job in recreating Lovecraft for this stylish collector's piece. Standing at that height, it would certainly be an interesting painting project and display piece for any true fan of the cosmic horror stories he and his contemporaries created.
Are you a fan of Lovecraft? What do you think of Fenris' sculpt of this influential writer?
I like it, but boy oh boy that’s going to cause a stir with some people…
Why? He’s not been caught up in the yewtree enquiry has he. (If you’re not British you might not get that sorry). But why would the bust cause a stir, its a pretty good likeness.
Google Lovecraft racist poems… Very much a man of his time is all I’m saying…
True enough, but he was a young man in the age of Imperialism, the exploitation of Cuba, and the dash for Africa prior to WWI, so his content was hardly racy for the time, no pun intended! Not saying I agree with any of it, but most people don’t know him for anything other than horror fiction. As you said, a man of his time.
Personally, I didn’t like his writing enough to own a statue of him lol.
By all accounts he mellowed in later life, by the tone of some of his correspondence with Robert E Howard. I liked his writing as a kid, but now I find his dialogue a bit painful. His ideas were great though (the non racist ones that is.)
I wouldn’t say no to owning this
