Fenris Games Announces It Is Facing Potential Closure
January 14, 2020 by brennon
Fenris Games announced in a statement recently that it may have to close its doors, potentially forever.
Fenris is going to continue work on the fulfilment of the Kickstarter campaign pledges which are outstanding and then will be looking towards winding down throughout January and into February. As it stands, this is the time (as mentioned by them) to get your hands on something from their range that you may have been putting on the backburner.
There looks like there might still be hope for the company if fortunes change so watch this space.
Salute is still a prospect for them in April too and there will be a selection of goodies presented at the event. If you want to read the whole statement from Fenris Games you can find it HERE.
Drop your thoughts below and if you've got yourself some of the Fenris range it would be neat to show it off painted!
Maybe kick off a project to show your work...

They don’t seem to have much luck as a business. Hopefully someone will pick up their range as they have some great miniatures. They would be a good fit for Crooked Dice.
wow.
Oh that’s really sad. I’ve had a good few scenic bits from Fenris over the years. Their stuff is downright lovely and I hope they can keep going. If a big order for detailling doodads is going to help, just let me know and I’ll place a big one.
We had this discussion on the topic of “small businesses closing” some time ago. I think we’re at the “the cake has been cut too many times and now the slices are too small to survive” point of the story. Having options and different companies producing stuff is great, don’t get me wrong, but it has diluted the marked to a point where many small companies struggle hard. Ask Andy of Heresy Miniatures, he’ll tell you a story. Sad as it is, this is how capitalism and a free market work. You either grow a big enough share of the… Read more »
I wonder how many of these closures are down to people 3D printing these sort of small scale items now
I don’t think that those are too big in the total sum. They will have made it worse for some part but the dilution is, in my opinion, the bigger problem.
Yup 3D Printing is not the culprit here.
Perfect Storm of GW Resurgence & Kickstarter.
Really sad news.

Shame they have to go. They have such a good range.
I’ve postponed Codex:SoB and Psychic Awakening to grab their Baal idol. I’ve actually loved that statue since I saw it as a kid in the old movie Atlantis (it’s been in a couple other old Hollywood movies too), so been meaning to grab it since Fenris created their model – which I can’t believe they actually went and did in the first place. How obscure of a subject, so now feeling guilty I didn’t do it earlier.
