Fat Dragon Games Take a Peek Into Ravenfell
July 9, 2014 by dracs
Fat Dragon Games are getting ready to release the core set of their Kickstarter funded terrain set Ravenfell, and have begun publishing preview images to help us explore the fantasy town.
In this printable terrain set, Fat Dragon have succeeded in creating a well detailed and atmospheric fantasy town that you wouldn't be surprised to find turn up in any game, from Dungeons and Dragons to Warmachine.
Printable terrain is a great way to make an effective tabletop setting quickly and Fat Dragon's pieces have always had a great attention to detail in their designs. This Ravenfell Core Set should hopefully be appearing soon, and I personally look forward to seeing what sort of tables people will make using it.
What games do you think this sort of terrain would match with most of all?

This looks great, I think is is the one that will make me take the plunge into printable terrain – the idea of being able to build a whole town cheaply is exciting.
So that the buildings last/be more solid does anyone have any tips? Do you stick the photo paper onto card, foam board, balsa wood?
I would really like to know as well. My last foray into printable terrain didn’t end up to well….
I print on thinnish card; it’s fairly sturdy when assembled, and ofc, you can add spacers to strengthen it, too.
I’d also like to mount them on a balsa/mdf base when finished, too.
I have done a fair amount of card terrain and i use matt photo paper. You can get 240gsm from staples for 8quidish for 25 sheets. Enables crisper images than cheap card stock and with it being 240gsm its fairly sturdy. I also base it on foam board which also give extra stability.
