FFG Announce X-Wing Wave XIV With Renegades & Reapers
February 15, 2018 by brennon
Fantasy Flight Games have announced the newest wave for X-Wing with Wave XIV on the horizon full of Renegades & Reapers. Take a look...
The first set is Saw’s Renegades who fly into battle with a U-Wing and a T-65 X-Wing. They come pre-painted in the scheme of Saw's freedom fighters. You will find a whole bunch of upgrades and ways to tweak your new ships including the chance to put Saw Gererra himself into the cockpit of his personal U-Wing.
Saw is able to deploy the use of his Scramblers which mean that when his foes get within short range they won't be able to modify their attack dice. A useful ability.
Reapers Abroad
Flying against him we have the TIE Reaper Expansion which brings a hefty new variant of the TIE Fighter into battle. Normally used as a troop transport this looks like a tough cookie to crack.
You can either use this ship with some of its additional mechanical upgrades or choose to drop a character like Emperor Palpatine or Krennic into the mix alongside his Death Troopers for an added dose of trickery. Whilst the Death Troopers aren't exactly firing at you themselves they do add another dose of stress to your enemies manoeuvres when in close range.
These are certainly some interesting additions to the range but I'm sure an X-Wing pro can fill me in on whether or not these are going to be worth it!

Very nice looking ship’s is the reaper in the film with different winglet’s?
Those are really nice.
When i saw these Black and white starships in the movie I thought it would be really nice to paint a couple of x-wing models “like this”… ffg have done this for me 🙂
They look great!
These do look great. But the Prequels had some great looking ships in them even if the quality of the movies were questionable. Saw was around during the Clone Wars, he could have a few of those fighters stashed away…
