Mierce Miniatures have released a whole bunch of awesome new characters and monsters for Darklands. See what you think of them below where most of the factions are catered too with some epic models...

Massive Monsters

First up we have some of the huge monsters that are now available including Hanokh and Akkaz that you can see below. I don't think I will ever be won over by the look of these snake-men even though I totally understand that they are impressively sculpted. I just don't find them very cool.

HANOKH, KENTARCH OF ÝDRON

AKKAZ, HOUND-ABERRANT

Akkaz on the other hand is right up my street. I love the warped and twisted muscles giving this a chaotic look and even the armour looks awesome protecting its heads. This is going to be a beast that would be fun to paint up; covered in some slick blood and gore to give it a very frightening appearance.

Mounted Heroes

As well as these mighty monsters there are a whole bunch of heroes on horseback. Some of them have bigger horses than others but see what you make of Urien, Mananaan and Knutr...

URIEN, TEYRN OF MÔN ON FOOT AND ON HORSE

MANANAAN, UNTAIN OF BAALOR ON HORSE

KNÚTR OF VÍKIN, SKIPARI OF HRAFNEN ON FOOT AND ON HORSE

Knutr is clearly the best of the bunch although I much prefer his on-foot model compared to that rather crazy looking mounted one. I think that cloak would be a pain when you're trying to transport the model! His on-foot model by comparison is very cool and I can't wait to get a closer look; delving into all the detail of his armour and more.

Howling Hero

Last but not least we have my favourite of the bunch for this month and that's Hror. I love Werewolves (I'm playing in a Werewolf the Forsaken Campaign this weekend actually!) and so seeing one dressed in Dark Age period armour just makes things all the more awesome.

HRŌR, WERWULF THEGN

The fur would be really fun to paint up and it would be nice to see what kind of shades and textures you can get out of it. Add to that the extra detailed armour and you have a joy of a project to have a go at.

Which is your favourite?
