May '40 Miniatures are currently on Kickstarter bringing early war German Fallschirmjägers to the table in 28mm.

German Fallschirmjager Cover - May '40 Miniatures

If you've not heard of May '40 Miniatures before they first released a Dutch army in 2015, this time they plan to bring the parachute troopers that lead the blitzkrieg on the low countries.

These elite troopers are the perfect opponent for May '40's current Dutch army, but would also be ideal for anyone wanting to replay any of the early uses of Fallschirmjagers from 1939 to 1940. From the invasion of Norway in the north, all the way to the landings on the island of Crete in the Mediterranian.

Apart from the expected riflemen support for the parachutists are also going to be available with an MG34 sculpt already underway and an 81mm mortar in the tubes (pipeline; get it!?)

These are a fantastic set of miniatures with some real character to them and as you can see plans are in progress to add to the available options through stretch goals in the Kickstarter.

Alternative sculpts are proposed and even the Panzerbusche drop-container that would have supplied some of their support weapons and additional equipment and supplies.

This would make a fantastic objective marker on a scenic base for games of Bolt Action or Chain of Command.

Will you be jumping in on these German elites for your World War II gaming?
