Explore Hell on Cipher’s Flying Carpet
March 6, 2014 by dracs
In terms of fantasy transportation, the coolest is undoubtedly a dragon. However, a flying carpet comes a close second, such as that being used by the new Hell Dorado mini Nasser abd ed Rahman.
If you haven't already guessed, Nasser here is a new hero for the Saracen faction seeking to claim the resources of Hell. In fact he is the main protagonist of the Saracen story arc, so naturally he is depicted with an awesome miniature.
A flying carpet is not exactly what one might think of as a combat ready mount, but this mini makes it look like he will be surfing into the midst of the foe, slicing off heads as he passes. I particularly like the way it is born aloft by what I assume to be Djinn. It makes the model even more dramatic and gives it a sturdy base.
Will Nasser take you on a magic carpet ride to see a whole new world?

I like the idea of a magically flying carpet especially for special characters. I’m surprised they haven’t been used in other Fantasy games.
You mean like Warhammer Fantasy’s Flying Carpet magic item option from the common magic items list.
tbh It’s been a while since I looked in the WHFB rulebook. haha Thanks for pointing that out man.
