Exploding Kittens Coming To Netflix With An A-List Cast
April 20, 2022 by fcostin
You can guarantee that most of us have a copy of Exploding Kittens somewhere amongst our tabletop goods! A party game of competitive card-play where the aim is to explode opponents by the way of a suicidal ground-levelling kitten.
Exploding Kittens // Matthew Imran
There have been a ton of different expansions and editions, but Netflix has announced some new plans for the title from The Oatmeal. Exploding Kittens will be getting its own animated series on Netflix in 2023, and you are probably puzzled like me as to "how could this possibly translate over to a hit cartoon?".
Netflix has announced that the story will follow "eternal conflict between Heaven and Hell". Seeing the story of both the all-powerful God and Devil taking root on the planet of the earth... but stuck inside the body of damn right adorable housecats.
Not only has it been announced that we are to receive a quirky new series, but Netflix has not shied away from bringing in the big bucks for voice actors. Including Tom Ellis, which you might know from Lucifer (seems quite fitting!), Lucy Liu, Abraham Lin, Ally Maki, Mark Proksch and Sasheer Zamata. There are no announcements as to who they could potentially be playing as of yet, just the confirmation of the actors joining the roster.
Exploding Kittens // Netflix Mobile Game
Along with the announcement of the series, Netflix has also showcased their first-time-ever entry into mobile games this May, with the interactive game title soon to be launching on Netflix too. A very random announcement, certainly a tabletop title that I was expecting to head on over to our big screens! However, I am certainly open to the idea of more cats with a god complex on my tv!
What do you think is next on Netflix's game roster? Wrong answers only, because you never know...

Lol looks a great fun game.
While I also passed on the game, The Oatmeal is *very* funny, at least for my (cough) sense of humor. Its “Your Cat is Trying to Kill You” book is inexpensive and suitable for any cat lover. Or hater.
