I am quite naive when it comes to hiking. Often I will find a ridiculous route (that I am not ready for) and run into danger after danger. Whether it be a random end-of-the-line cliff or an unpassable river that will need climbing to get across. I am not prepared for the dangers in the woodland, and as much as I would love to think that everything from the squirrels to the thorn bushes is my friends, they are certainly not.

Boss Dog games have found a way for players to navigate their way around the woods on the tabletop, but place your life on hard mode with a ridiculous amount of bears waiting to feast on you - sometimes teaming up to take you down - you get the extremely popular card game Kickstarter, Beware of Bears.

Beware of the Bears places you and your friends in an exciting fast-paced card game where players must attempt to leave the forest all in one piece. No, you are not working in teams, there's plenty of hungry bears to go around!

To determine the winner of the game, a player will have had to escape the forest first or sabotage their friends into some nasty bear traps so they can get eaten and mauled alive, whilst you skip merrily away into the sunset out of that woodland.

The bears' territory that players have stepped on is certainly interesting. These are not your average grizzly bear looking for a snack, there are some very special variants with some very special abilities ready to take you down.

The further a player progresses, the more considerations need to be made. With evil squirrels lurking behind the next bend along with hot lava and mouth-watering doughnuts - the best way out to safety is by throwing your friends into danger and getting the hell out.

The Kickstarter campaign has already been funded, with a bunch of stretch goals still being unlocked - and with 29 days still to go. If you are looking for a family game that will have you in stitches, be sure to check out Beware of Bears.

I don't think I would get very far, I would want to hug each bear. I don't think I would win doing that.
