New Epic Stretch Goals Set For The Wolsung SSG Kickstarter!
July 8, 2014 by brennon
Wolsung SSG is still going great (steam) guns on Kickstarter and Micro Art Studios have some more stretch goals and upgrades for your pledges to come as the fundraiser winds down towards its final ten days...
First up we have the very cool stretch goals for the project. It starts off with something very creepy indeed with Ubume and the Warashi, it certainly has something of The Grudge about it! Following on from that I think it's the one we've all wanted, the massive mechanical Huge Golem! Of course there are more brilliant inventions and characters after that too and it would be awesome to see them added into peoples pledges.
As well as the actual stretch goals they have added on a pair of, well, add-ons so you can tweak some of your pledges and pick up some more miniatures to add to your favourite faction...
...and they round things off with this very snazzy looking wooden Wolsung Ruler which is unlocked and available to all backers above the basic level! A nice gesture!
Do you have your eye on any of those stretch goal miniatures? It's got to be the Huge Golem surely!?
Have your say below!

MAS justvreleased even more sketches of a new Triad with sort of ghosts around him and a new Inventor with electric durges around him. So cool. Also the sculp of the sumowrestler is very nice. The Golem is 13 to 15 cm tall. So he is really huge! More miniatures are coming. Also new scenery! Cant wait.
These are described as strectch goals – they are mostly just new sculpts/models being unlocked that you can spend your points on rather than being anything extra (apart from the new models). I get the distinct impression that these are all on the shelf waiting to go and are not truly being realised because of the funding.
Sorry – not being incentivised by this approach to invest in this project – appears to simply be a pre-order mechanism compared to Myth, Recon, Guildball where I felt the funding was actually that, not just an early revenue earning scheme.
That’s why I really enjoyed this weekends xlbs. Justin really went into how these small companies need this upfront funding to make a go ahead of these projects. Sure, the ideas were already there, but if they wish to release them together with the rule book rather then bit-meal over the next two years they need the initial injection of capital that only kickstarter can bring. I’m in this to help them achieved that whilst getting a cost reduction in a good looking game. Their mistake, I feel, was in not having enough unlocked at the start for the funding… Read more »
