June 20, 2022 by fcostin
Whilst we have heard the recent announcements of some Local Legends gearing up for some Epic Encounters on Kickstarter, Steamforged Games have not stopped the previews for the upcoming 5E bosses making way to retail in the meantime.
Did you know that you needed a giant turtle dragon for your next adventure? Well, now you did. The Cove of the Dragon Turtle is approaching heading out of the sea and keen to snap, ready to be released at the start of September with a new standalone encounter boxed set. Bring a new boss box that's ready to pre-order on the Steamforged website.
Cove of the Dragon Turtle // Epic Encounters
If you have never used an Epic Encounters boss box before, the concept is pretty simple. These boxes are very much a grand gesture! Players will add their new boss as a standalone challenge for a new 5E adventure.
Inside the box, players will find their mammoth miniature, an adventure book to play alongside, a game mat, stats, ideas and inspiration to throw the mega turtle into your campaign.
Turtle Dragon Preview // Cove of the Dragon Turtle Epic Encounters

So if you are looking for a nautical-themed adventure, taking on the fierce might of the Dragon Turtle, be sure to keep your eye open both online and at your FLGS stores this autumn for the release. Or head on over to the Steamforged Games website to get your pre-order in today.

that’s a fabulous figure.
It looks nice but I have no clue how big or small that is… please someone put Bananaman next to it!
Suspect very big. Impressive at the very least.
Looks great but sadly the pricing is way too high now. When this range first started the Red Dragon boss was about £35. The prices have just gone up and up ever since, and this one is £50.
Maybe if I can find it at a heavy discount online I will buy one, but for me Steamforged have got greedy. They make this stuff in Chine so I expect the price to reflect that fact.
Bowser’s forgotten brother. It does look really nice.
