How many times did Free say the word Animal Adventures this year? Well, it was a good few! Whilst I sit here patiently and await The Faraway Sea Kickstarter to be fulfilled. Steamforged Games and Painting Polygons have announced a new 5e adventure coming to Kickstarter - although whimsical and anthropomorphic animals are involved this is a separate role-playing universe completely.

Ready to go back to school? Adventures & Academia: First Class is heading to Kickstarter. As players will head back to the books and take on whimsical adventures taking the magic and skill back to basics. Heroes are not born heroes, they become them. It is your journey now to become a hero, no matter how blunt your sword is - or how unpredictable your magic is!

Normally we will start off in a role-playing adventure already as an established character and backstory. Where they have been, what pathway they took in their magical journey. But Adventures & Academia: First Class brings characters into the very beginning of an origin story.

Alike Animal Adventures, Painting Polygons have teamed up with Steamforged to create some incredibly magical miniatures for the students attending the whirlwind college. As they learn their class and craft correctly... and get into trouble here and there too!

And what's more, the main lecturer is indeed a Basset Hound. I don't think I would learn anything in that class! He would probably find me ridiculously condescending cause I wouldn't stop looking at his adorable little face.

The Kickstarter campaign is set to begin on December 1st, and just after the closings of the already million-dollar campaign, Resident Evil: The Board Game.

More family-centric RPGs? Yes please!
