Elektra & Batwoman Join DC & Marvel For Knight Models
December 12, 2014 by brennon
Two new miniatures we've not seen before join the line-up for both Marvel and DC over at Knight Models! This time it's two super-heroines in the form of Elektra and Batwoman...
Elektra is looking quite the deadly weapon and once again it's a shame that a lot of people have a tarnished view of her thanks to the pretty awful Jennifer Garner film. Still, a really cool look and the sculpt is an awesome match for Daredevil. Batwoman, or Kate Kane (in the modern set-up) is looking cool too and along the same sort of costume line as the Batman in Batman Beyond.
As well as the new women characters we've also got the others that we've seen in previews over the last few weeks. Ra's Al Ghul, Nyssa Al Ghul and Daredevil continue to add to both the DC and Marvel line.
I really hope that Knight Models have something in the pipeline for Marvel on the tabletop as I'd love to see something akin to the Batman game for their line of Avengers, X-Men and Marvel Knights.
What do you think of the recent sculpts?

Hmm I heard that the new Batwoman comic (the Kate Kane) one is pretty good. Can anyone confirm that? Not that the answer will stop me picking up the Batwoman mini.. I really like the pose and the stark colours.
Speaking of Marvel, I wonder if we will see some GotG minis from Knight Models?
Batwoman is one of the best things to come out of DC in years. Her series delves into the mythological and paranormal side of Gotham and the art (at least in the first few arcs) is really amazing. Recent issues have seen a new creative team take the helm and an artistic shift that brings her look more in line with the rest of the New 52, but those first twenty or so issues are absolutely fabulous. And that’s without touching on how important a character Batwoman is as a female and gay icon on the comic scene (although again,… Read more »
Ah yes, I know it’s kind of unavoidable but I always hate it when a creative team is broken up (or worse, the reigns are just handed to somebody else for ‘reasons’) and the character, storyline or art suddenly changes direction without a total disregard for any kind of continuity.
..and I like continuity, damn it!
Thanks for the tip, though. I’ll see if I can’t get hold of those first 20 issues in a collected edition of some kind.
er.. “with” a total disregard, I should say.
Scott Snyder’s run on the relaunched Batman is also worth checking out.
Those are really good.
The Daredevil mini is fantastic.
If knights model did do a marvel tabletop rule set then I’d be very happy
All look good to my non comic fan eyes
but I just have to say this…
Foot on a rock!
Daredevil doesn’t look enough like Ben Affleck for my tastes…
They’re really nice… But they could have posed them better. I mean, it really shows that both leading ladies here are in the same old worn contrapostura, only reversed. Dynamism, anyone ? There’s so much good stuff in that range already, and so many good comic book poses to choose from, this pales a bit by comparison.
Kate Kane is an example of having Lesbian , Gay or TG character in a mainstream comic , that doesn’t scream about the sexuality of the character , or go out of the way to bring in issues a publisher feels the need to address. As to the models , Batwoman , is amazing , I have always thought the bat red was better than the the grey/blue/black combo of Bats himself. The DD model is amazing too , and I don’t feel much for th Ras (I like Liam Neesons to much) , and Electra , well she can… Read more »
