Eldritch Foundry’s New Colour 3D Printing Kickstarter – Live Now!

Eldritch Foundry, creators of custom miniatures for your roleplaying games and beyond, have launched a new Kickstarter project where they introduce Colour 3D Printing to their range!

Eldritch Foundry will be looking to launch its Prism Color Engine, which, alongside Polyjet 3D printing, allows you to design your custom miniature and then paint them digitally using its toolset. The idea is that as well as adding colour to miniatures, the tools will also give you options to mimic particular painting styles so you can get that proper painted look on the tabletop.

As with the system Eldritch currently has, from here, you'll be able to get the full-colour miniatures printed by the team at Eldritch Foundry in high quality with 30-micron layer details in resin. The examples are looking quite nice (see above) and I like that you get elements of wet blending and dry brushing in the finished miniatures.
With the Kickstarter launch, there is a series of Early Bird Pledge options for you to consider...

These could be great for getting your first adventuring party ready for your next campaign or a single miniature that you've been super eager to make a reality. Head over to the Kickstarter Page and get involved with the project!

In the meantime, head over to the Custom Miniature Creator from Eldritch Foundry and start giving the system a go.
Hero Crafting // Eldritch Foundry
As you can see, there are some great presets for you to choose from to give you some inspiration and also lots of ways for you to then customise your hero of choice. As they mention on their site, once you've chosen your character's heritage and outfitted them, you just have to pose them in a cool way and away you go.
Digital downloads of your miniatures (to print at home) are just $5 and a high-detail resin miniature is $29. You can even go big and get a double-sized miniature for $59. If you're someone who just wants one or two unique miniatures, I think programs like Eldritch Foundry are great for making just what you want!
Are you going to be playing around with Eldritch Foundry and joining in with that Kickstarter?

This is just evil sorcery, I say!
Also, too cool.
I used to be a huge fan of HeroForge – I think I even bought a few minis from them for my first Chaos All Star team project – but not looked at them for a long time.
It’s remarkable how far the technology has come along in such a short period of time.
So expensive. It’s like it’s ALMOST ready for prime time. Only Bif with his posh G-wagon and Lacoste sweater wrapped carelessly around his Ralph Lauren collared shirt can afford this.
I actually got to see these in person at GenCon. I was impressed. If you’re not a painter or just need to fill in some NPCs, this is pretty good quality. Whether it’s worth the price is very much an individual question.
If you are a painter, you could still add details to the basic print to and have a very nice mini.
