Eastern Zhou Period Chinese Take Shape From Khurasan
December 2, 2016 by brennon
Khurasan Miniatures has previewed some of their upcoming models for their Chinese range. The Zhou Period Models here are the start of a new collection.
This is a collection of more barbaric warriors from the period, the Red Ti. Here you have a Standard Bearer, Chieftain, and King and one of their symbols was actually a huge bronze trident as you can see here held by the chap in the middle.
A lot of research has gone into these models and you'll want to follow them on Facebook to find out more.
What do you think?

Who do they fight – Qin? or can they fight Macedonians in a ‘What if?’
I can’t even think of any illustrations of warriors from this period…
nice are pre or post Mongol china?
they are pre Qin (?) so before the unification of China and the foundation of the Han Dynasty in about 200 BC
Dunno what the sources for the Zhou are – maybe wee terracotta grave-figures or scene-images on stone reliefs.
They look a bit like Mauryan warriors (northern India 200 BC)
…or I could be very wrong and a later dynasty took the name Zhou to emphasise their ancestry…
