Dynamic Normans Join Victrix’s Upcoming Plastic Kit
January 21, 2020 by brennon
Victrix Limited has been showing off more from their upcoming Norman kit. The plastic sets for both their Infantry and Cavalry are just around the corner now and last week they took the chance to show off one of the Command figures from one of the frames.
As you can see, the model comes in an awesome dynamic pose where the axe, sword or mace (whatever weapon you want) is in full swing, about to cleave through someone's skull or smash apart a shield. As with all of the Victrix kits, there are plenty of different options for you to throw into the mix too as you'll see below.
The team at Victrix have mentioned that as well as being useful for the Dark Age, these models would also work for those building up the Medieval forces for Italy or Spain and of course when venturing off on the early Crusades!
Much like with their previous releases for the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings, it is becoming tempting to dive in and build up a Dark Age force once again.
What do you think?

Damn, I need those minis. This is the first time I see an nearly accurate historical grip for the shields in this time period.
@jocke I presume that most sculptors have the arm held horizontal while the shield is vertical wheras Victrix have the arm running along the length of the shield?
What have they not got quite right?
A chance of shields to make a difference army for battles.
