Durgin Paint Forge Show Off New Elves & Conquistadorcs!
December 16, 2019 by brennon
We're back with the creative minds behind Durgin Paint Forge as we show off another of their Elves they have been working on. With another blend of fascinating aesthetics in the mix here is their Elf Archer.
Once again you can see those different influences brought into the mix. As standard Elves are always seen as rather good archers and so that theme has followed across here but you've also got that calm and dedicated element thrown into the mix too. I love the patient look on this Archer, keeping an eye out for those who would wander into their realm.
We're certainly seeing that Japanese influence in the design too with the look of the hat and cloak combination. You'll also notice a lot of the Pacific Islander nods here and there across the clothing and accessories that the Elf is wearing. As a whole, I think it is a nice take on the iconic Elf from Fantasy with that Durgin twist.
The Orcs Of Inneath
As well as the Elves we're getting our first teasing glance at the Orcs for this world.
The Orcs in Inneath aren't your typical barbarians and instead are obsessed with technology and advancement of their weapons. You can just get a glance at the weapon this fellow is holding and you'll note some steampunk-esque influences in their design.
The title of Conquistadorcs would also be very appropriate as these warriors have made an uneasy peace with the rest of the civilisations but have a liking for Elf flesh. So, they have headed across to their wild realm as interlopers and colonists who are looking to clear out those pesky knife-eared folk. It should make for a nice dynamic across the range aesthetically.
You can learn more about the Orcs from their world on the link above.
What do you think of what we're seeing here?
