Take Your Dungeon Crawl on a Fantasy/Pulp Adventure With Dungeon Worlds Kickstarter
February 19, 2015 by stvitusdancern
While perusing Kickstarter, I came upon this interesting 28mm terrain project- Dungeon Worlds, by Acheson Creations. The pieces will be cast in plastic and cover an interesting range of pieces to construct a dungeon type atmosphere complete with floor tiles, solid and ruined walls, stairs and trap doors .
Yes, your typical dungeon explorers could be very happy in this dungeon, but there is something about these pieces that really strikes me as being the perfect setting for a pulpy type game. Perhaps Captain Jack Sparrow would explore this dungeon (probably heavily influenced by the skull rock wall)? Or maybe Indiana Jones would try to make his way through this setting in his quest for archeological relics? No matter who you put in this scene, you will certainly be able to construct an interesting tabletop setting with this terrain.
Will you be putting pulpy spin on your dungeon crawl with this clever Kickstarter?

I like the tiles. I find the KS confusing, though. It seems you get less for your money the higher tier you pledge. Also, the stretch goals are out of place. If I’m backing for tiles, what the heck do I want a bunch of hobbits for? Or coins?
Those are some impressive looking tiles.
I got the Dwarven Forge tiles on Kickstarter, and I’m more than happy with all of them, both the dungeon tiles and cavern tiles. May even order more of the cavern stuff down the road. They have a better look than these imo.
