TTCombat has revealed the contents of the new 2-Player Starter Set for Dropfleet Commander that will be available to pre-order this weekend. The UCM are going up against the Bioficers with all new plastic miniatures as part of this orbital Sci-Fi game.

The new set continues the war raging across the galaxy in 2679. After battling against the Scourge, the United Colonies Of Mankind (UCM) now find themselves facing a terrible new threat in the form of the Bioficers, a corrupted artificial intelligence that is intent on hunting humanity.

The set comes with everything that two players need to get started in the game. You get the UCM and Bioficer fleets that break down into Cruisers and Frigates as well as Cells for the Bioficers.

The set also comes with everything else you need to play a wargame including the Rulebook, Dice, Space Debris Shees, Token Sheets and Quick Play Cards. The Quick Play Cards are there to help you start with the weapon loadouts for your different ships. They can all be built in as variants with alternative weapons and so, to help with that initial learning step, TTCombat has decided on a standard loadout for both forces.

As mentioned above, this starter set will be ready for you to pre-order this Friday, giving you either a new path into the game or a way for you to bulk out your collection and get your hands on the new and updated rules.

There's no word on the price just yet but TTCombat are usually pretty good with their pricing of starter sets for their other games so fingers crossed!
