Dream Pod 9 Show Off New Caprice Plastic Sprues For Heavy Gear
March 21, 2016 by brennon
Dream Pod 9 have returned from GAMA promoting the launch of the new Heavy Gear Rulebook and plastic kits that are on the way. With that in mind they also took some snaps of the new plastic Caprice Sprues which will be making waves soon.
Here you can see the assembled Acco, a Bashan, and an Ammon. It should be noted that the sprues here are still tests and there might be a few tweaks down the line before launch. However, I think those kits are looking rather snazzy indeed.
Above are said miniatures sitting next to some of their older pewter models. I think going plastic is a great step forward for people to get into Heavy Gear that little bit quicker and with less hassle.
Will you be keeping an eye on their plastic sprues?

Sweet 🙂
Very nice.
great models.
So hyped to get these when they ship. DP9 have been pretty great throughout the KS experience, and I’m definitely looking forwards to another kickstarter to move more of the range into plastics.
I have many of the models from the past. It’s my hope that going to plastic will open the market up a bit for them and the price drops on the cost per model. It was the one thing that stopped most of my friends from going into this game a few years back.
Yeah, they’re planning on releasing a number of plastic starter boxes for 60$ US each. The South one for example comes with 4 Jagers, 4 Mambas, 2 Spitting Cobras, 2 Iguanas, a King Cobra, and 3 of the little utility drones.
Really cool.
