Dragons Fill The Sky In Upcoming Addition To Attack Wing!
March 20, 2014 by brennon
WizKids are building on the success of Star Trek: Attack Wing and will be taking the basic mechanic over to their collaborative work with Dungeons & Dragons. This of course means deadly aerial combat between Dragons later this year in October!
These are some shots from Tom Vasel of the Dice Tower that he managed to snap while at a big board game event this week. As you can see the mechanics and look of the components seems to have remained the same, but with the addition of epic looking dragons instead of ships!
I think the idea of Dragons clashing in the skies is an awesome prospect and I can't wait to see more on it. There also appears to be some land units involved as you can see from the ballista.
Bring it on I say!

This is a very very cool idea! Would also like to see something similar or some form of game based on the Temeraire books as well.
I Love this idea 🙂
Cool, for the older ones of us Dragonlance ?
This is a must buy for me. I wonder which dragons will be in the base set.

Here are some of the sneaky pics from their talk they did.
“WizKids will roll out a Starter Set and eight additional models with three more each following month. Due to their large size, the Attack Wing dragons will be $24.99, which makes the three-pack Starter a great deal at $49.99. Troop packs with six figures and dial/templates will also be $24.99, and single hero packs will be $14.99”
Sounds like it’s actually a three pack starter which is neat. I’m more interested in this than both Star Trek and Star Wars combined.

I am a major starwars and star trek fan but this will be the set I buy.
As I said, I want there to be Red Dwarf Attack Wing. Starbugs with a massive Red Dwarf dogfighting versus the Gelf, the Rogue Simulant and the Legion ship.
