Empress Miniatures Dive, Dive, Dive With Submarines!
December 5, 2016 by brennon
Empress Miniatures has shown off the work going into their Submarines for your games on the tabletop in 28mm scale. Right now they are still at an early stage of production but they're looking good!
As you can see they are rather epic in scale, and as they should be for 28mm. There are two different designs here and it would be good if you folks could dive into the comments and let us know what submarines these might be.
You can see a model here for scale showing off just how big they are. They would be fantastic for a dockyard where you're soldiers are fighting for control of an important port.
I think you'd need a rather large table if you wanted to take this out onto the open water and even then all the combat would be done beneath the surface. I reckon these will be staying as terrain pieces.
What do you think of these new submarines?

Alarm!!!
I need a 28mm ww2 uboat for my pulp RPG games. The villains always have a sub nearby to escape in!
Alternatively you could do River Horse’s hunt for red October scaled up to 28mm!
Types VIIC and VIIF. But not sure on the second one with the added second ‘Wintergarten’.
In any case great stuff and considering it’s the result of a merry get together it’s absolutely fantastic! I’d love to have one!!!!!
Could be a IXC /40 but agreed they are great and definitely on my wish list
Very niche but very nice indeed.
The first thing that springs to mind is 2 scenarios taken from Raiders of the Lost Ark – the boarding of the freighter to confiscate the ark, and then the scene in the underground u-boat pen where Indy punches a soldier’s lights out so he can steal a better-fitting uniform.
Das Boot.
The land that time forgot. Bolt Action with dinosaurs.
With Konflikt 47 and some of the weirder options that may well be possible.
They look great
Look amazing. Would love some 15mm versions for FOW and even better, a 15mm Red October to have as a terrain piece in a TY game!
Awesome stuff
i was literally dreaming of a K47 table with a sub wrecked in a dessert yesterday…
