Diehard Miniatures Plan Their 28mm Orctober Warband Early!

Diehard Miniatures team are planning Orctober a lot earlier than normal this year. They are looking to get those Oldhammer vibes flowing with a new set of 28mm Fantasy Orc Mercenaries that can be sent into battle alongside their Eru-Kin later in the year.

Orc Mercenaries - Shagratt // Diehard Miniatures

The plans are to release a bunch of new miniatures via Kickstarter in October that will break down into two units of five Orc Mercenaries alongside Shagratt, a mighty Orc Warlord who is ready to lead the way. As you can see, the miniatures are packed full of that Oldhammer charm and could well find their way into ranges beyond that of Diehard Miniatures own.

Orc Mercenaries - Spearman // Miniatures

The Orcs will be armed with a range of different weapons including spears, scimitars and more. I love those old-fashioned lantern jaws and big teeth alongside the pointy ears. The detail on their armour and shields is also what builds on those Oldhammer vibes and these miniatures wouldn't look out of place alongside a lot of classic Citadel miniatures.

Orc Mercenaries - Swordsman // Diehard Miniatures

The miniatures are going to be available later this year in October and will be a great way to kick off the month of greenskin awesomeness that takes over the tabletop world. It would be neat to see what the Diehard team do when it comes to painting these. I'm expecting some bright reds!
