Make Your Dice Your Own With Halfsies Dice Kickstarter
February 19, 2015 by stvitusdancern
Who doesn't like new dice? Especially when the dice are really YOU...
Halfsies Dice are two-toned, semi-translucent, have a pearlescent swirl effect, and are professionally manufactured in high impact resin with smooth corners for a clean and balanced roll every time. This is a new Kickstarter by John Wrot and not only do they look great, but through the success of the Kickstarter, backers can vote on additional color options and personalization.
A few of the sets have their own "lore" surrounding them! If I had to pick, I'm a fan of the Mithril set.
With the different pledge levels, you can even go Halfsies on a pledge with a friend! (see what I did there?)
These are the options currently up for vote on the Kickstarter.
Is there new dice in your future?

Whilst great looking in terms of colour, k really struggle to read dice when they are like this, as im dyslexic, so its important for the colour contrast between the number and the background to be better. So people like crazy colour dice though, its just irritaes me when they spend ages checking the numbers because the numbers a white and the background is a pale colour. Yellow dice with black background work best for me, as its a tool most of all. You dont see many multicoloured tape measures for this reason. Hehe. Someone is gonna prove me wrong… Read more »
The # colors will actually be gold for the vast majority. Some may rock a silver, which contrasts far better than the white, as it’s darker and shines. No dice will have plain white numbers. We left the renders white #d so as to no claim finalization of # colors. But I shall update this to help the dyslexic and colorblind communities.
I did get old enough that dice is just a utility – single colour and high contrast. I have friends who have picked up some roseqarts dice, but that ain’t for me
Rasmus, thanks for the comment. I hope you like the contrast on the colors here and choose to back us. You MUST at least vote! : 0 No obligation there.
