The Dice Bag Lady Shows Off More Painted Shieldmaidens
June 17, 2015 by brennon
The Dice Bag Lady/Bad Squiddo Games have shown off some rather neat painted versions of the new Shieldmaidens joining their range of Believable Female Miniatures. Freydis and Hervor are the newest additions to the line-up with another coming soon too...
Stand In The Shieldwall
You can see both of them there alongside the existing Lathgertha model that was sold first at Salute 2015 (I have one and she's now part of my growing Viking SAGA army!). If you'd like a closer look at them see what you think below...
My thinking right now is that I get my hands on all of these various Shieldmaidens and use them as my unit of Huscarls guarding my Warlord which will be Lathgertha of course. Either that or have them in the same army as my Ragnar Lodbrok and make a bit of a raiding party!
The other new miniature that I mentioned above is Borghild who will be the additional Shieldmaiden in the group. Hopefully she gets painted up soon too.
What do you think of them?

Fantastic figures!
My Lathgerta gets a few sisters now 😉
Not sure yet what role they will have to play into Saga Viking force but I’m sure I’ll find a place for them.
Fabulous, and not a chainmail bikini in sight!
I like them and will be adding them to my Saga force. It is nice to have realistic females for a change. Their is nothing wrong with the scantily clad type, I rather enjoy painting them as well. They just don’t belong in any kind of historical setting(except for something I have no intention of gaming).
Those are rather good.
