Steamforged To Demo Super Secret New Game At Gen Con
July 6, 2017 by brennon
Yes, you heard it right (although all may not be as it seems of course...). Steamforged Games are going to giving demos of their new super secret project at Gen Con this year.
While one imagines it would be nice to be playing a game packed with Racoons diving into trash we might have much more to look forward too...
"That’s right, you have the chance to be one of the first to try out an amazing new game before anyone else. Tickets are sure to sell out fast though so hurry and sign up now!
BE WARNED: Event name and descriptions are subject to mutation..."
One wonders exactly what form this is going to take but we'll be looking to find out what we can from the Steamforged guys at Gen Con this year. You can book a place HERE.
Anyone getting the feeling that we might be seeing something in the Resident Evil vibe?
Will you be giving this a go?

I think ‘vibe’ might be underselling it. Any chance they filmed a demo of ‘Trash Panda’ when they were over at your gaff recently? They had Dark Souls at Salute last year and went to KS a few weeks later, so it could be that ‘Trash Panda’ in the next few months.
*is on KS in the next few months
Trash Panda should refer to Raccon. Metropolis to City. Thus the name Raccon City, a place in the resident evil universe. Also, The photo is striking similar to RE 2 box art.
I always thought why nobody is table topping Res evil… since well zombie games are all around us….
Yes its Res Evil…….

– “survive the horrors of a megacorporation gone rogue”
– “Hope you brought an umbrella” …
Those hints are as subtle as a sledgehammer …
Given how Capcom has managed to ruin the series it’s going to be easy to get something good out of this one 😉
rocket?
I am guessing the game is Resident Evil. Seems logical. First Dark Souls now Resident Evil. Since there has been a lot of cross over from video game to the point many of the larger video game review sites are now doing board game reviews and the board game companies want money from the video game crowd, this seems like a natural fit. However, they have to correct the mistakes they made with Dark Souls for this game if they want to be considered for future games.
There goes all my money. Despite terrible controls in the original, terrible..er controls in RE4 and the really..bad.. pacing…of..cut.. scenes in 6, I love the entire RE franchise and remain invested in both the setting and the characters. In a way I hope this will go straight to retail because if this goes the KS route, I will have All The Add Ons!11!1!
I think you best start warning your bank account now then, lol
Might be just a little interested in this.
