Defend Avalon With Black Site’s New Sci-Fi Miniatures
June 10, 2021 by brennon
Black Site Studios has put together another set of new miniature releases. This time around we're heading to the genre of Sci-Fi with their Avalon collection. There is new infantry for you to snap up and also a big ol' tank too.
Avalon City Watch // Black Site Studios
These soldiers are well-trained and drilled to perfection to defend Avalon city from the advances of the enemy. They are used as soldiers but also as a general police force within this setting. It all sounds very fun and gives you some alternative Sci-Fi troops to use on the tabletop.

There are ten miniatures within the pack (five miniatures duplicated) which could give you the core of a good Sci-Fi force. The scale is 32mm miniature so it should work alongside a lot of other miniatures out there although they are a little taller thanks to their funky hats.

As well as the City Watch, you can also dive in and pick up their rather hefty looking Gustav MKII Medium Tank.

This is the main battle tank used by the Avalon City Watch to keep control of the populace. It is a dinky little thing but looked fearsome thanks to those exposed tracks and the gun mounted on top. Chase away some rebels with this one!
I would imagine that we're going to be seeing all manner of different releases for this new range over the coming months. As it stands though, a fun set of miniatures that could be alternatives for Sci-Fi collectors.
Are you going to be snapping these up?

Great looking minis, really liek the asthetic Black Site Studios have. Great for anything Sci-Fi.
For those into 40k this makes me thing of the Blood pact and AT-70 battle tank from Gaunt’s Ghosts, I think that red colour scheme is doing that for me 🙂
Thay are fantastic looking figures and the tank looks great as well.
that terrain looks lovely…. especially the domes with guns. is that something to buy or DIY?
On Facebook someone asked the same question and the answer was: simple DIY, half ball foam with turrets from the new tanks.
Das schaffste schon 😉
Reminds of the troops in the film “Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind”, which was a great film. Great lookig minis.
That tank is definitely stealing the show here! These soldiers and armor have a great Studio Ghibli/retro sci-fi feel about them
