The Defeated Makes A Last Stand For Acolyte Miniatures

Acolyte Miniatures have been previewing the artwork for their Prestige Range next year and the next stage is the 3D sculpting one for them. The first miniature on the digital workbench is The Defeated and she's looking great...
In the midst of battle it looks like this warrior woman has taken one arrow too many and she's about to do a Boromir. Quite an powerful scene and I reckon they've managed to capture both a heroic and peaceful moment which is nice. I love that it's being based in snow as well since I think it's one of the coolest places to have a battle.

Beautiful and sad at the same time.
If the final model can match the detail of the render, it will be one heck of a piece. The pose is very striking as well. This is definitely a warrior who went down swinging, and she still has hold of her axe even at the end, so she should at least die believing that she will find her seat at Valhalla or receive whatever reward is accorded to warriors in the afterlife myths of her culture – as @dorthorian says, beautiful and sad. Yeah, I can see how more minis would probably add too much clutter.
Although, I can probably expect to see her in some diorama soon.
I talked to Acolyte Miniatures and this should be out in February. Also the arrows will be seperate from the main sculpt.
That is one impressive sculpt.
I really like this, and though it’s pretty obvious what’s happening, part of me wants to think’she made it’.
i bet the arrows won’t be in the 3d sculpt, but will end up being acupuncture needles packed next to the resin pieces
