Deep-Cut Studio’s Latest Mat Takes You to a Warzone
September 19, 2014 by dracs
Deep-Cut Studio have come out with a new gaming mat to help you transform your tabletop into a blasted warzone.
This warzone mat shows a dry wasteland, cratered from the blasts of heavy artillery and bisected by a ruined tarmac road, an excellent backdrop for a post-apocalyptic game where the world has been made desolate by nuclear warfare.
The detail on this mat is superb, with stones and rubble picked out clearly. All it needs is the addition of some suitable building pieces and this mat will provide a quick and effective terrain setting for your games.
Do you ever use gaming mats like these? What do you think of Deep-Cut's warzone?
Looks smashing!
I picked up the Relic Knights 3×3 mat from GenCon and I’m a convert. They make the dimensions of the gaming table very clear and add a lot of character to the terrain. It helps that at that size I don’t even need to break out the boards and can just lay them straight on the dining table. There’s a few of the Deep Cut mats I’d like to pick up now so I can have some more variety. It’s a shame Micro Arts don’t do the District 5 mat in 3×3 as well as 4×4.
looking good.
