Deep-Cut Watch The Skies With New MiG Alley Mat Design
September 19, 2019 by brennon
Deep-Cut Studio has been showing off a new mat designed for those taking to Korea with their Blood Red Skies games. Here we have their MiG Alley design...
The map features artwork by Jan Jasinski which looks to recreate the kind of landscape these fighter pilots would have been battling over during the period of the Korean War. The winding canyons and high peaks must have made for some very interesting dogfights.
The design comes in either 4x4 or 4x6 allowing you to either play out a tight conflict or one which draws you into a larger engagement. Whilst this would be good for games of Blood Red Skies, of course, it would also be pretty awesome for those who want to battle in the skies with their capital ships during Sci-Fi games too.
What do you make of the new MiG Alley design?
"...it would also be pretty awesome for those who want to battle in the skies with their capital ships during Sci-Fi games too!"
Ooh I think this would be good for a dambusters game?
I ran a dam busters game, this map would not work, stick
to plain aerial combat.
To small?
I like this mat!
If this is for Mig Alley, then is there one for the WWII era aircraft? Did I miss a mat?
Update……..
I popped over to Deepcut’s web page for these mats. They have extra pictures showing more details of the canyons and rivers and such, it is absolutely gorgeous!
