Deep-Cut & GCT Team Up For Official Bushido Gaming Mats
January 12, 2021 by brennon
GCT Studios and Deep-Cut Studios have teamed up to bring a set of three official gaming mats to tabletops for Bushido players. These have been designed to match the 2x2 dimensions of Bushido games and are very fancy indeed.

There are three designs that you can choose from which allows you to play in different environments within the Fantasy world of Bushido. If you fancy heading off into the mountains then you've got the snowy outcrops of the Tengu Mountain.

This is a rather inhospitable looking area of land but just the right place for a savage clash between mystical monsters and your warband of samurai. If you prefer a bit of greenery then you've also got the Bushido Battlefield.

This provides a different design of mat which looks suited to a cinematic experience. You certainly get the sense of that when it comes to the swirling blossom which has drifted down from the trees. Place a few of those trees across the field and you'd have an awesome tabletop for a samurai showdown.
Finally, we have a more detailed mat here for the Bushido Temple Ruins.

This looks like a good place to set up a battle around a ransacked temple. You could have a group of ruffians scrabbling around for treasures and such when they are beset by the devout guardians of this place. I like that you've got a ruined section of statue which has collapsed and the massive gate too - it helps to build on the fascinating narrative of these gaming mats.
Which of these mats do you like the best?
