The Dark Master Be’lakor Returning To Warhammer Age Of Sigmar Soon
March 1, 2021 by brennon
Games Workshop didn't reveal much over the weekend but we did get a sneak look at the next stage of the Broken Realms storyline for Warhammer Age Of Sigmar. Be'lakor is returning to The Mortal Realms and the first Daemon Prince is on the warpath.

Be'lakor has had quite the past within the world of Warhammer. Whilst he has shown up in Warhammer 40,000, most of his time has been spent within the realm of Fantasy and The Old World of Warhammer Fantasy Battles. Tasked with crowning The Everchosen throughout the generations, he has often been able to shirk his duties. For a time he lived within The Cursed City of Mordheim as the Shadowlord trying to avoid the gaze of the Chaos Gods for example.
Be'lakor has also had an awesome model for quite a long time. I remember when this miniature first dropped and I was so on board with the idea of making a Chaos army based around him and his road of ruin and torment.

Alas, Be'lakor was a little too expensive for me at the time and whilst he is currently available in Finecast, I think a lot of people are going to be waiting for the new plastic model to land.
If you're interested in finding out more about the Broken Realms storyline up until this point then you can check out Games Workshop's website about it HERE. After decades of Games Workshop getting told that they needed to move the storylines of their games on, it's nice to see that they are using Age Of Sigmar as an opportunity to do so.
Are you looking forward to the return of Be'lakor?

the story may move on … but are there any actual effects on the table top other than new models and updated stats ?
Is any faction getting *ahem* Squatted(tm)
GW mastered the art of writing Big Dramatic Events that make sure no one’s feelings are too hurt, so no.
it feels more like a yearly fluff update … which is cool, but I wish it meant that all factions had a full lineup of kits available.
And I do mean available in the practical sense … not as in “you can order this from the webshop between if you are fast enough” definition GW appears to use.
Ooh Be’lakor looks fantastic.
It’s good to see Be’lakor return. I do wonder how he fits in to AoS lore.
The irony being that – yet again – I finally managed to pick up the metal version of Be’lakor’s old model, just in time for GW to announce an all new version in plastic >_<
