Dark Age Aim True With Dedlock The Faceless Killer
January 6, 2015 by brennon
Dark Age have shown off another upcoming miniature for their range of deadly futuristic warfare in the shape of the lithe Dedlock. See what you make of this gunslinging dead-eye...
Not a bad looking miniature at all and she seems to embody all the grace and lethality that you'd expect of a stone cold killer. I like that they've given her very pale skin as well in this official paint job as it goes well with the dark suit and gives her an almost ghostly feel. Match that with her Deathstroke like mask and you've got one hell of a professional.
Above you can also see the stat card that they shared for Dedlock showing off some of her skills and equipment. One thing I would point out is that the artwork makes her look a lot more 'buff' than her miniature shows. She doesn't appear to have nearly as much muscle definition, in her legs especially, when compared to the artwork.
Either way what do you think of her?

That looks really nice.
I’m on the fence with this one. It’s beautifully sculpted and painted, but the pose doesn’t do it for me, and of course why have one smig when you can fire two. More isn’t necessarily better, and it doesn’t look right.
Agree on both counts
The pose looks a bit awkward especially contrasted to the elegance of the figure.
Looks like she has just landed from a jump and with those (over) slender ankles looks like she could sprain one
Does Dark Age get much love? Are there many playing it? The minis seem to have really improved and don’t seem that far off Infinity quality these days. Anybody with any info on how it plays?
In terms of gameplay, I’ve found Dark Age to be a very solid game. The rules aren’t hard to learn, it is fast, brutal, and scenario driven. The roll resolution is basically Thaco and works really well. You won’t need to memorize a single chart, which is a huge plus in my book. The issue I’ve found most people have the game tend to be the minis. While the quality of the more recent sculpts have been extremely good the older models are, well, mostly crap TBH. And unfortunately they haven’t resculpted most of them. For other players they just… Read more »
Thanks mush 🙂 As always, it’s the quality of the recent sculpts that is drawing me to the game. Plus I don’t have the time to be painting endless mini’s for a viable force like some game systems require. The background really appeals and I kinda like the more risqué nature of the models and mini’s. It looks and feels like Mad Max on Quaaludes!
Yes the S&M is one reason I flinch away from this game. But I have noticed that many of the more recent releases have turned away from that look. They may have learned to make what people want rather than just make what they want.
Totally agree. Their minis somehow made quite a leap and the paintjobs are really good.
I love the morbid and adult character the game radiates.
So this is one where i would love to see a Dark Age week, I sense great potential.
How many has Justin ordered so far?
