Daring New Veteran Guild Ball Players Join The Roster
September 30, 2016 by brennon
Steamforged Games have added a new selection of Veteran Players to their webstore allowing you to unleash their newly learned skills on opposing teams in Guild Ball. Kicking things off we have Brisket...
The Butcher's Guild have got a rather angry looking lady as part of their team here. She looks like she has enough blades to mess with anyone who steals her ball!
Secondly, we look to Harmony for the Mason's Guild.
Once again they've gone with some crazy heroic hair here flowing in the wind and a dashing stance as she draws her sword ready for action. Weirdly enough I like the armour design and the way the belts look too.
We then move onto the crazy looking Katalyst!
Having gone a little bit 'Bane' he seems to be in no mood to simply play a regular old game of Guild Ball. The over the top nature of his sculpt will be fun to paint up.
Lastly, we look to Spigot from the Brewer's Guild who returns us to something of a normal state.
Looking like he's somewhat annoyed at what someone has done to his crate of ale I reckon he'd be a little angrier as he gets stuck into playing Guild Ball.
All of the Veterans are great sculpts full of character. Which of them is your favourite?

Favourite sculpt is probably Harmony, a nice transition from the original. They are all really nice though and I will end up with all bar Catalyst. He will probably come when I cave and get alchemists.
Game playwise. They all bring something new, Spigot and Brisket are reall tough choices and I think will depend on style. Harmony is probably more useful in veteran form for most builds. I think vet catalyst is probably the most likely to just replace the original.
I’m confused; a sports game or a skirmish wargame?
A little from Column A, a little from Column B.
@lasse If I was introducing it I’d say its a skirmish game with a moving objective (the ball). You can go full combat or goal scoring for victory. A combined approach is normally best. Plus rules and standees free to download so easy to try
Both
Indeed. It’s a sports skirmish wargame. Or a skirmish sports wargame. Whichever you prefer.
They all look nice. The one I like most is Spigot.
I like that they give a little extra bonus to goal scoring over just taking people out so while it’s technically both they are remembering the sports game roots.
Finally … i waited for Veteran Harmony. I never liked her old sculpt at all so i’ll get her asap!
