Cybermen Awaken From Warlord’s Tomb Of The Cybermen Diorama
February 10, 2018 by dracs
Warlord Games have previewed an upcoming diorama piece that is sure to please many fans of classic Doctor Who. Get ready to run, as you have disturbed the Tomb of the Cybermen.
Tomb of the Cybermen was a story broadcast in 1967, starring Patrick Troughton's Second Doctor (the best Doctor, incidentally). He and his companions join an expedition to find the remains of the long dead Cybermen. However, it turns out they're not as dead as they thought.
The diorama is set to come out for pre-order soon, including two bonus figures. There will also be a five pack of Cybermen troops from the story.
If I may take a moment to geek out, I am very excited to see this diorama piece. Tomb of the Cybermen, despite its rather large flaws, is my favourite classic Doctor Who story, and the one which firmly entrenched the Second Doctor as my favourite Doctor, as well as the Cybermen as my favourite villains. Warlord's diorama captures perfectly one of the most iconic moments in Doctor Who history.

I saw it in some video footage of, I think, Salute last year. It never occurred to me that they would release this as a kit. That is totally awesome.
