North Star Military Figures has been showing off some other newer sculpts for another game recently. Here we have some of the Cultists that you can use to spice up your games of Rangers Of Shadow Deep, either in solo adventures or cooperatively with friends.

Cultist #1 - Rangers Of Shadow Deep

Cultist Magister // Rangers Of Shadow Deep

Leading the way, we have the creepy Cultist Magister! Complete with a spooky mask that has no doubt captured his soul and a strange sceptre in hand, this fellow is going to be causing all sorts of problems for your Rangers and their companions. I like the almost alien feel to his face; as if the man that was there before has been turned into something "other" and uncanny.

These miniatures here have been designed by Michael Anderson based on the artwork from the books by Barrett Stanley. In addition to the Magister above, we also have a double pack that comes with the Master Of Shadows...

Cultist #2 - Rangers Of Shadow Deep

...and the Acolyte. I assume he has been given the task of holding his master's staff whilst they attend to some properly cultish business. Both of these are looking very cool and would add to your games.

Cultist #3 - Rangers Of Shadow Deep

Acolyte // Rangers Of Shadow Deep

Whilst there is a definitive world that has been built for Rangers Of Shadow Deep, which I love, it would be interesting to see how you could tweak it a little. I am in a Middle-earth mood at the moment and it wouldn't be hard to reskin Rangers Of Shadow Deep to be more Tolkienesque. These Cultists? Human servants of the Dark Lord Sauron. Twisted and corrupted to serve him. Taken from roving bands of mercenaries and tempted by the promise of shadowy and forbidden power.

Maybe this will actually help me get my arse in gear and start playing this game. The rules have sat on my shelf for too long!

What do you make of these Cultists?
