Set during an age of strife within The Empire, two to four players will take on the role of folks looking to cement themselves as the next Emperor. The game has also been designed to mimic the kind of card games played by "ruffians, gamblers and adventurers in inns and taverns around The Empire".

The game comes with 112 game cards, tokens and a player aid. You'll also find new and old art featuring across each of the cards showing off the forces of The Empire and mercenaries that fight alongside them.
I am a fan of card games and I like The Old World. So, this all sounds like it should be up my street!
What do you make of their new idea?

I dont know anything about this game, but the artwork got me. It triggered a lot memories from the times of WHFB…
Don’t worry, there are going to even more reminders soon enough.

I started building an Empire army just as I got out of the Hobby back in the early 90’s. I must admit I loved the Elector Count models – I think my army was going to be lead by the one who had a big bird on his wrist and a sword. All of the Empire range was top notch, so I am so tempted to pick this up just for the art!
