Cubicle 7 Reveal Branchwych Archetype For Age Of Sigmar RPG
April 2, 2019 by brennon
Cubicle 7 has revealed another of the Archetypes that you'll be able to play as in the Age Of Sigmar Roleplaying Game. This time around we're looking at the Branchwych.
Drawing on the power of the forest and the Jade Lore Of Magic, the Branchwych is able to not only act as a healer, casting powerful spells to keep her companions in the fighting, but also summon up the fury of nature and smash her enemies into a pulp when the need arises.
Acting as versatile spellcasters in the game they aren't just going to be one of those typically weak healers that can get smashed if they're not careful. I love this aspect to their design, giving them a dual purpose in a game which is no doubt going to be full of combat.
Additionally, she presented an interesting alternative to the Kurnoth Hunter. Whilst they are dangerous warriors in their own right the Branchwych seems to have plenty of potential hidden away.
One of the other things raised by Cubicle 7 concerning the Branchwych is that their story is one of tragedy and sadness, much like many of the characters within the Mortal Realms. This should offer up plenty of opportunities for role-playing.
I cannot wait for this role-playing game. I think this is going to provide the 'superhero' feel of something like the Avengers that I don't think we see enough of in Fantasy storytelling.
What do you think?

looks like this will fit in well with the other branhwych models.
It’s not a model. It’s artwork for the character archetype you can play in the rpg.
just thinking of the figure that comes from the artwork @brennon
