Cubicle 7 Preview The Black Ark Corsair For AoS: Soulbound
April 21, 2020 by brennon
Cubicle 7 are continuing to drop more previews for what lies ahead as part of their Age Of Sigmar: Soulbound roleplaying game. As quite the alternative Fantasy world, it's packed with some interesting characters and strange alliances. One such archetype which plays into that theme is the Black Ark Corsair.
These characters, drawn from the ranks of Scourge Privateers are monster hunters and sea-farers who know the seas of the Mortal Realms like no other. They are adept with both sword and crossbow as well as more esoteric weapons which are used to bring low some of the biggest and nastiest of creatures.
Despite being of service to the Grand Alliance of Order they are not "good" by any sense of the word. Many of them believe they are free from the shackles that bind many of the other races and they are not opposed to murder and taking those they conquer as slaves to sell to the highest bidder. This free-spirited nature makes them ideal characters to play as part of a Soulbound adventure.
Whilst they are no doubt going to be in it for themselves to begin with, only accompanying other adventurers for the sake of coin and glory, they might find themselves bond to their companions after going up against some of the deadliest creatures the Mortal Realms have to offer. I do like the idea of having characters from very different ends of the spectrum working together towards a common goal.
Release Date?
Cubicle 7 has also been quick to share the news that their PDF for Soulbound is nearing completion. They are working hard on the bestiary at the moment (always a fun bit of the book) and it should be released in digital form around the week of May 4th. So, not long to wait till you get your Mortal Realms fix!
Are you excited to give this a go?
