Cubicle 7 Drop Special Edition Of WFRP’s Most Popular Campaign
May 31, 2019 by dracs
Cubicle 7 are updating the popular Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (WFRP) campaign The Enemy Within for the game's fourth edition. To celebrate this, they have a special collector's edition set now up for pre-order.
This collector's edition, containing the fully-revised director's cut of the original campaign, is made up of ten volumes: the five volumes of the campaign along with their companion volume, filled with commentaries, new characters, and subplots to enhance your game.
Each of these will come with own special slipcases, decorated with tarot card style art.
Those who pre-order this set will receive the pdfs upon release, before the volumes themselves are shipped out. They will also gain access to the developer diaries, letting you peak behind the curtain on how this campaign has been brought back for WFRP 4th ed.
We recently received the core book and starter set in the office. I have been digging into the lore ever since and cannot wait to play a game in one of my favourite fantasy settings once again. The Enemy Within looks like the perfect way to experience this game and these collector's editions look beautiful. I would love to just get a tarot set for that artwork alone.
You can pre-order the Collector's Edition from Cubicle 7's webstore.
Did you play The Enemy Within? Is this set going to grace your shelves?

I’d love these, I’ve not picked up 4th edition yet, but as a owner of editions 1,2 and 3 its only a matter of time before I pick it up, but at £600 its way more than I’m willing to spend.
I’d wait for the standard editions unless you absolutely must have the ‘tarot style’ artwork, the PDFs earlier than anyone else, and/or the ‘developer diaries’. That said, if you’re a WFRP fan, especially if you’re a first edition fan, and even more so if you’re a first edition The Enemy Within fan, i would definitely get the Directors Cut as it is one of the original architects of the campaign ( Graeme Davis ) that is bringing it to completion, rewriting and adding as necessary.
The slipcases will be decorated with the standard edition art. It’s the covers of the individual volumes themselves that will be decorated with the ‘tarot style’ artwork.
600 quid… they an air off
They are selling starter for £23 at expo. You can get it for £15 at A1 comics at the expo.
Ah the Old World. Such a great setting. I’d love to see them make a miniatures game set there.
Nah … It’d never sell 😉
For ten special edition, niche books with a one-time shipping charge for five shipments, the price is actually very reasonable. It’s still a hell of a lot of money for books.
I am sorely tempted.
Ah yes, WFRP, the RPG where the same campaign gets re-released for every version. As good as The Enemy Within Campaign was, I don’t think the world needs a fourth version.
The special edition does look very pretty though.
I don’t think there was an TEW campaign for second edition was there? And the third edition campaign by the same name was actually a different thing.
That’s right. There was no 2nd edition version and the 3rd edition was similar in name only. So this 4th edition version is the only proper update we’ve had in almost 30 years. Given the last two books are following Graeme Davis’s original intentions for the finale, that justifies it alone.
I think a lot of us have been waiting for someone to give the campaign a proper rewrite.
You are right, of course. I am getting the 90s Hogshead reprint of this campaign confused with the three-book campaign that I can’t remember the name of from 2nd Edition!
Whoops!
Oh my wow…
£595.00! Less Wow ?
