Cryptozoic Get You Trading Cards In Middle-Earth

It looks like The Hobbit hasn't been completely merchandised just yet. Cryptozoic Entertainment will be bringing out The Hobbit Trading Card Game this year in anticipation of Desolation of Smaug towards Christmas.
This is nothing more (after being enlightened to the fact!) than a Trading Card collection. Open those packs up and swap and switch them with your friends until you've collected them all. It might actually be a bit of fun to see if you could get your hands on all of the Dwarves and their companions.
It might be fun to see if this brings any sneak peeks at future content from the movies.

Once again my dear BoW, I know “Trading Cards” are mostly an American thing, but there is a difference between “Trading Cards” and a “Trading Card Game” or “Collectible Card Game” 😉 These are just what they say: trading cards, so there’s no game involved here unfortunately…

Wait, really? LoTR trading cards? Do they have like Bilbo rookie cards or something? Are there stats on the back for heroic quest completion? Seriously, I’m more curious about this now than I was when I thought it was a TCG (not interested in buying, just morbidly curious about the phenomenon). Also, isn’t there a LoTR TCG out there as well? I know about the LCG from Fantasy Flight, but I thought there actually was a TCG made by someone else.
