Crush Of Iron Coming To Kickstarter Soon
October 19, 2015 by stvitusdancern
Crush of Iron Fantasy Master a 15mm fantasy mass battles game from Alien Dungeon is coming to Kickstarter soon.
It will be a game designed to play in tournaments as well as multiplayer. They are promising hundreds of individual sculpts so your units will be unique and not cookie cutter. It is reportedly that the starter armies will be Dwarves, Orcs, Ogres, Goblins, Undead and Northern Men.
The are also promising more factions to come (Elves I hope!) and that with other monsters and war engines will lead to some epic battles! I am always on the lookout for a mass battles game and smaller scales are starting to interest me.
They are saying they will be offering their rules as a free download. The miniatures will be made in metal and no assembly will be required. You might want to keep an eye out for this one when it hits Kickstarter.
Do you like small scale mass battles?

Looks interesting but there seems to have been a few fantasy sets released recently. The figures are OK but again there is a mass (no pun intended) of 15mm fantasy already so the KS would need to offer something special in that regards to make it worthwhile
Hopefully the base sizes will be 40×20 to help fit in with existing rulesets
Looks to me the special offer are very detailed 15mm fantasy minis, but then again im not well versed in the 15mm fantasy genre 🙂 like that theres alot of character in the individual minis
These guys seem to have done well with all’s quiet, hopefully they do well with this genre. Albeit a flooded one.
I don’t think I’m aware of any other fantasty 15mm games / model ranges… Who does them? For which games?

off the top of my head both have a ton of 15mm fantasy minis, rules can be found on the sites and alot of gamers scale down other rules for 15mm, 10mm, and 6mm. Kind of a saturated market but still hope they do well on it, never enough toys for the lead/plastic pile.
If this is ran in the same way as all quiet on the Martian front I wouldn’t touch this with a barge pole, bad commutation, non response to emails, months between updates and the stretch goals that were unlocked have never appeared.
Backer beware with alien dungeon
The trouble we have is that there is a lot of fragments in this scale and genre. Take Bolt Action by Warlord games for example, a huge community from a company that support sand pushes the game. Their may be lots of minis and rules but they are not well supported and its not often a one stop shop.
If this company really pushes this game and miniature line it could create a great community with a healthy tournament scene. There is hope.
