Aim Crossbows & Hold The Line With FireForge’s Spaniards
May 26, 2020 by brennon
FireForge Games has been keeping up the previews for their soon-to-be-released Medieval Spanish range. We saw some of their models last week but now we got a look at some more of their specialists starting with the Crossbowmen.
These fellows are all going to be available in their resin material and this particular set above is another of the options for their Light Infantry. That means that you can now arm them with spears, javelins, bows or crossbows dependant on what you prefer.
You can also bolster your front line with some more heavily armoured options too. Here we have their Heavy Infantry who can use swords or spears.
As we talked about last time when we looked at these miniatures, they are going to be pretty good for those wanting to play out games set during the period of El Cid. Also, they would work equally well for those who want a generic-looking Medieval army. You could easily paint them up in different colours and make them applicable to different kingdoms and even something fantastical.
Could you be tempted by these new Spaniards?

the heavy infantry look great.
Who thought that modelling those ropes onto the crossbows was a good idea? That looks terrible.
they do look a bit exaggerated don’t they… shame, as I like the rest of the aesthetic. Makes me want to watch Catedral del Mar again on Netflix haha
It is particularly heroic scale, true.
Paint it a dark brown, to avoid drawing attention to it.
It’s a shame all the heavy infantry look to have the same exaggerated leg stance. For me it really detracts.
