Crooked Dice’s Riders Of The Apocalypse
February 10, 2020 by avernos
Those wonderful people at Crooked Dice have just released some new miniatures for their apocalyptic range. As society fights to rebuild in the world of 7TV it's always important to have the right people for the job, whether that job is fighting off our Alien Overlords, giant radioactive insects or just those other humans from one settlement over that want food and clean drinking water. The scum!
To this end two new packs have arrived to help out your band of merry survivors.
Whether they're patrolling the borders of your territory or leading the vanguard into your enemies, these well dressed Rangers are often the key to the success of your strategy. Especially if they need to outrun an ant the size of a bus! In what looks like military fatigues and gear they have an elite feel but still have the hodge podge look of soldiers whose nation no longer exists and gear has to be supplemented with whatever they can find. The aviator shades are a lovely 80s touch.
In stark contrast are the marauders. Whereas the Rangers are the elites the Marauders are certainly the grunts in the mud doing the dirty jobs and hoping to get back at the end of the day. This pack contains a bazooka team and a support weapon and they have seen better days. Ragged and stitched clothing I don't expect to take any of these home to meet the folks at the end of the day, but when the blade meets the bone they may well be the people you need to get the job done.
Finally we have a sneak peak of a master model from the last kickstarter about to go off for moulding. I'll just leave this here shall I?

HOUSE HARKONNEN!
Great figures love the apocalypse survivors.
These are great figures. I’d be tempted to grab the horsemen at the very least
