Crooked Dice Preview A Gentlemanly Children Of The Fields Group
November 14, 2017 by dracs
Crooked Dice have shown off some of the cast of the upcoming Children of the Fields set, giving us quite a colourful collection of characters. First, meet The Miller and The Miller's Wife.
These two look to be a respectable married couple, running their local mill for local people. Then there is the Crow King.
With his sinister, ragged cape and his corvid companion, the Crow King would be the most sinister character of the bunch. That is if it wasn't for the inclusion of The Hurdy Gurdy Man.
Kill it with fire! This character looks utterly terrifying like he will stop at nothing to add to his collection of rings and find Dave.
Each of these models is a brilliant depiction of their classic TV counterpart. They're not characters I would immediately think of including in a tabletop game, so it will be very interesting to see how Crooked Dice implement them into 7TV.
What are your thoughts on these models?

I think he’s broke your toilet,
that’s alright, he fixed it…ootum, sprow!
Brilliant work on those sculpts, and the painting. Most terrifying horror miniatures range out there. I’ll need to get them as cultists for my loose Cthulhu Mythos collection.
They’re my miniatures naoooow!
Or they will be, available to preorder from December 1st by the way.
Now to grab a walking dead plastic car and turn it into Bab’s Cabs
@avernos might have to take a trip to the swanseas, wonder if we will get a legs akimbo theater troupe as well….

You’re my wife now, Dracs!
Not again! That’s how I ended up at Beasts of War in the first place!!
We didn’t burn him!
Very sinister, but is the Crow king from the same tv show, as don’t recognise him?
Wikipedia mentioned a mortician character. He could be that,
Stupid question, but shouldn’t the Hurdy Gurdy man be carrying, you know, a Hurdy Gurdy?
nope, he’s not one in the show. He’s the wife collecting leader of a circus. Does play a mean tin whistle though
Well, then they should call him the Tin Whistle Man or the Wife Collector.
If you make a character and put Hurdy Gurdy in their name, then you’re bloody well obligated to give them a Hurdy Gurdy!
These minis are only on sale for Local People.
Sorry Necromunda and New WH40k, THIS is the most important gaming news of the year!
Really great sculpts, Hurdy Gurdy man may be needed in my Carnival of Chaos … for those that remember the reference.
free little brown fish with every order?
