Crooked Dice Preview The Caravan Outriders Of Colony 87
March 17, 2021 by brennon
Crooked Dice has been previewing some of the upcoming 28mm miniatures which are going to be added to their Sci-Fi Colony 87 collection. Here we have the Caravan Outriders sculpted by Andrew May.
Caravan Outriders On Foot // Crooked Dice
There are options to introduce these Caravan Outriders in your collection and your games both on foot and mounted atop some rather quirky looking alien beasts. These guards are based on the artwork by Will Beck which you'll see later on here.
Caravan Outriders Mounted // Crooked Dice
The riders and the birds will be available in resin and the Outriders on foot will then be available in metal. It adds to the wonderfully quirky and weird-looking collection from Crooked Dice which is just perfect for 7TV and also future games like Stargrave.

I could see a lot of people picking these up and using them for specific scenarios. You could also use them as the core of a larger warband or army which is themed around the planet and lands of Chirroc. A lot of attention has gone into the details of these miniatures which is always good to see. I like miniatures that tell a story and these most definitely do.
Are you going to be snapping up these miniatures from Crooked Dice when they release?

The ostrich cavalry is great.
Ostriches! I thought they were riding massive roosters.
Look like Chocobo knock-offs to me.
Fantastic figures an the angry birds cavalry are brilliant.
Those birds are great. I can see them as guards for an expedition party to explore the Pyramids in a Victorian-era Egypt
Alternative models for Taun Taun riders on Hoth
Those monts are superb! I would like to mount some fantasy-amazons on them.
I still couldnt find the connection between Chocolate and Chocobos.
look really cool!! how do they scale up against Legion stuff?
