Cromarty Forge Bring A 10mm Mid-Republic Roman Army To Life!
September 9, 2022 by brennon
Cromarty Forge has been showing off an awesome range of new 10mm Mid-Republic Romans that you can now download and print for your Ancient battles on the tabletop! They have been working on a seriously hefty range for the last while and it's now available to snap up.

With this new range, you can either go for the full army as you see here or you can break things down into individual sets of units. All of them come on strips bar the skirmishers and the cavalry of course and are pre-supported, so you don't need to fiddle with anything to get them through the process.

When breaking down the collection, you've got a Roman Command Pack, Cavalry, Triarii, Principes, Hastati and Velites. The Triarii, Principes and Hastati are broken down into both marching and attacking poses so you can customise the ranks of your army and make them feel dynamic on the battlefield.

The detail on the sculpts is great and the Cromarty Forge range has been well-loved by 3D Printing folks for a while. So, if you're eager to dive into some Ancient wargaming then this might be the route to go down.

As well as all of your core Roman troops, there is also the opportunity to throw some auxiliary into the mix as well. Some Spanish Light Cavalry can be used to give you an additional set of light skirmishers for use in battle.

There are plenty of small-scale Ancient wargames out there and also rules that adapt to various scales. So, if you have always wanted to run an Ancient army and you have access to a 3D Printer, you might want to get stuck into these or find someone who does have a printer you can hijack!
Are you going to be snapping these up?

Ooh Their look fabulous figures.
Those look “epic” very tempting
Highly likely I will get these, first though need to work on the Imperial Roman force.
Does anyone know how these scale to 1/72 or 28mm
Well 10mm is 1/160 and 28mm is 1/56. I’m presuming these are approx 1/160 and not 1/144
